it's hard to learn how to turn around!

i can now walk the whole line from one side to the other :D but i still cannot turn around to go on walking in the opposite direction. i can turn but then i lose balance :o/ i'll try and learn that one today!

meanwhile we've been meeting lots of amazingly sweet people who encourage us or just want to watch or who hang out with us all afternoon trying to balance themselves too :) excellent!

some images

craig is the guy who got us into slacklining :) watching him on the line is bliss * all that balance and determination, beautiful!

he jugles on the line as if nothing was going on...

kyle got so good so quickly! in 2 days he could walk and run and jump and spin and at times it was like if he was snowboarding on the line :) awesome!

it's great to watch those 2 together!

getting serious

the day before yesterday we bought our own slack line :):):):):) we now have our own 15 meters which fit perfectly between the electrical pole and the big palm tree down by the faro marina :)

yesterday we got to action and i gave my first 3 steps without support :D it felt magical! heck, it WAS magical!

first time on the line

i tried slacklining for the first time last week :) it was amazing to try to walk on a rope! on my first try my legs shacked like crazy and i felt miles away from any feeling of balance... but gradually it started getting easier :) our concentration and inner strength do so much for our balance! of course the wind shakes you and the rope is constantly moving your center of balance, but somehow it's all in you to keep it together and not fall :) now i can already balance myself on the line :) i can't walk the line without support yet, but i'll get there :D

the time spent on the line is so clean, so uncut by life outside that moment :) it's beautiful! so i started thinking i should go around the world with a slackline :D first destination should be india! they're so balanced there they can probably all slackline without much effort ;)

try it wherever you are! you need the right rope and a few carabiners :) then find a nice spot that has 2 trees or 2 poles you can attach the rope to :) it's that simple!

have fun!
